1. Operating environment of electric arc furnace equipment
1.1 Environmental requirements
1.1.1 Altitude not exceeding 2000m;
1.1.2 Environmental temperature: within the range of 0-40 ºC;
1.1.3 The monthly average of the daily maximum relative humidity in the wettest month of the region of use shall not exceed 90%;
1.1.4 There are no conductive dust, explosive gases, or corrosive gases that can seriously damage metal and insulation in the surrounding area;
1.1.5 There is no obvious vibration or jolt.
1.2 Raw material requirements:
The raw materials for electric furnace are composed of scrap steel, ferroalloys, and bulk materials. The proportion of incoming steel material is 95% scrap steel and the remaining 5%. Scrap steel is added to the electric furnace less than three times by rotating the furnace cover, and the maximum size of a single piece of scrap steel is:
Maximum cross-section |
150 ×200mm |
Maximum length |
500mm |
Single weight of scrap steel |
≤300kg |
Bulk density |
0.7-2 .0 t/m³ |
2. Main technical characteristics of electric arc furnace equipment:
The electric arc furnace equipment is equipped with a rotating top loading furnace cover, fully hydraulic, bottom tapping, and elevated layout.
The electric arc furnace adopts a copper steel composite conductive cross arm.
The short network adopts large cross-section water-cooled cables.
PLC electrode regulator ensures maximum accuracy and reliability of the electrode system.
The hydraulic system proportional valve adopts products from Rexroth or PARKER company.
Transformers can withstand long-term overload of 20% and have sufficient mechanical strength to withstand frequent short circuit impacts during operation.
The transformer is a forced oil circulation water cooling (OFWF) system, using a fault free forced oil circulation water cooler.
3. Equipment Usage
This steelmaking furnace can use alkaline or acidic lining for melting ordinary structural steel, high-quality steel, and high-grade alloy structural steel (mold steel, roller steel, gear steel, stainless steel, etc.).
